About the Opportunity:

Skeans Pneumatic and Automation has an opportunity to fill the role of Inside Sales Representative in support of our team and customers.

Primarily, this role contributes to our customer service and sales team by:

  • Supporting walk-in customers in office with technical product knowledge
  • Receiving customer service phone calls and email inquiries
  • Entering orders, and providing quotations through a consultative, value-added sales approach
  • Developing technical product knowledge through supplier training systems
  • Building and repairing components for customers, Build of Materials (BOM)

Secondarily, working in the warehouse, this role will include:

  • Pulling customer orders
  • Pack and ship customer orders accurately, securely and in a timely fashion for transport to customer site
  • Dispatching couriers
  • Stocking shelves and execution of inventory controls
  • Assisting with cleanliness of the warehouse including sweeping of the floor, emptying of garbage and recycling; may include general building and/or yard maintenance as required

The goal of this position is to support the team in achieving a well-organized and maintained distribution facility and to provide our customers with the most efficient and appropriate supply of goods possible. SKEANS sells a wide range of products from items smaller than the end of your finger to full truck load equipment.

This junior position contributes to adding value for our customers and meeting delivery timelines on an ongoing basis, as well as adapting to changing priorities. Mechanical and technical aptitude will be a great asset, to grow your curiosity in automation and the industrial applications.

Experience counts, but most of all you must have a positive attitude, a willingness to be versatile and

flexible, as well as take responsibility for what you do.

While working both independently and collaboratively with our team, sufficient physical strength and stamina are required to safely meet the demands of the work, including good hearing, good eyesight, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination. Good theoretical and practical mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude are an asset.
