Text Box: MAC VALVES
Since our inception, more than 40 years ago, Skeans Engineering and Machinery and MAC Valves have partnered to provide our customers in Western Canada some of the most reliable valves around.
Here is a little about MAC Valves:
Since 1948 MAC’s manufacturing processes have been founded on principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost – in that order.  They manufacture the best quality valves with the best delivery possible at the best possible price without sacrificing the safety of their employees.
Mac’s organization is structured around servicing Good Customers with Good Valves, using Good Parts and Good People. MAC has been honoured with several product reliability awards from their customers.  This recognition is due in part to MAC employing a team of Good People around the world.

MATTEI rotary vane technology is simple and features a single off-set rotor which is supported by two (2) white metal Babbitt bushings (like the connecting rods in your engine) and spins at but 1,800 rpm or less. Blades/vanes slide in and out of the rotor to form compression pockets. Zero-wear MeehaniteTM treating process prevents wear to the stator wall or the cast iron blades that ride on a thin film of lubricant. Backed by a 10 Year Warranty, the rotor stator unit (RSU) is exceptionally durable and efficient, and it is not uncommon to get over 100,000 hours of service life out of our airends (RSU) without a rebuild. In comparison, rotary screw air compressors are complex and sensitive to precise tolerances and are composed of two parallel rotors with external helical profiles (screws) which enables the two rotors to engage, one into the other.  The two rotors are fitted with four (4) roller bearings and two (2) thrust bearings and placed inside a stator made from two cylinders which intersect longitudinally and in which the rotors turn with a critical minimum clearance at speeds between 3,000 and

New HH Series - Heavy Duty Hydraulics

TRD Manufacturing Introduces the HH Series of Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Cylinders for Superior Performance in Demanding Applications

Machesney Park, IL – January 9, 2009 – TRD Manufacturing, a Bimba Company, today announced the introduction of their new HH Series Cylinders, which feature an innovative design to deliver more reliability in heavy-duty industrial hydraulic operations.

All HH Series models come in bore sizes 1.50”, 2”, 2.50”, 3.25”, 4”, 5”, 6” and 8”. Requests are made-to-order, with standard and custom options available. Cylinders usually ship in two to three days and most requests are answered the day they are received.

As part of the HH series, TRD offers a complete line of hydraulic Rod Locks. Cutting-edge floating rod bushing technology ensures that these rod locks achieve their high rated holding force and stay correctly aligned. This reduces cylinder drag, wear and erratic operation, thereby ultimately improving performance, consistency and results.

Each rod lock model is available in three different holding forces, depending on the release pressure. And, with the ability to handle up to 3,000 PSI, these precision-machined cylinders can be used on most heavy-duty applications.

Other standard features include a heavy-duty rod wiper, seals, wear band, chrome plated I.D tube and more. Rod locks, stop tubes, center supports, stainless steel piston rods and high impact pistons are also available as performance options. Accessories include clevis, pins, mounts and alignment couplers up to a 5” thread size.
